Reimagining how we study biomolecules
Environment
THE LAB
Our lab consists of two parts: the wet lab, including our mass photometry facility on the second floor of the new Kavli Institute, right next to a beautiful open plan group office; and dedicated basement laboratory space that provides the kind of stability and laser safety needed for the development of the next generation technologies.
THE KAVLI
We are incredibly excited to be part of the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, a collection of research groups from many different departments including physics, chemistry (our home department), engineering, and a range of life sciences areas. That, together with the direct connection to the biochemistry department (where the institute is based), makes for a dream environment to develop and apply novel technologies for making new discoveries in the life sciences.
THE CITY
Sure, we may be biased, but we think Oxford is a fantastic place to live, whether you are coming by yourself or bringing a family. You can walk everywhere, and you have a spectacular mix of cultural sites and activities, green spaces, beautiful architecture, and great food from all over the world. And in the unlikely case it feels a bit small, London is a 45 min train ride away.
